Hydroneo is an independent power producer operating in sub-Saharan Africa. Since 2016, the company has been developing, financing, building and operating small and medium-sized hydropower plants (up to 50 MW). Committed on a daily basis to the fight against global warming, all our so-called "run-of-the-river" achievements provide the national grids with Ecological and Ethical Electricity.
Indeed, in addition to producing 100% carbon-free energy, the plants we build have a very low impact on the environment and benefit local communities on multiple levels.
Our team is involved in the entire value chain of project implementation: from the identification of potential sites to the operation of the plants built. Established in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Gabon and France, Hydroneo currently has a portfolio of 20+ projects for a total capacity of more than 500MW.
